"WANTED FOR DEBAUCHERY" - Video Game Concept
This is an animated graphic sequence that my friend Artur Gevorgyan and I made. It develops the aesthetic for a counter-culture, hip-hop, teen-spirit video game I wanted to create in the future that combines play styles from classic quake engine shooters (doom, counter strike 1.6, quake) and the Tony Hawk Pro Skater series. In this game you'll be able to traverse the overworld on skateboard and quickly toggle between building up a trick meter and using that meter for psycho mode when fighting bad guys.
I've recently had a fascination with PlayStation 2 era graphics and the way they were able to achieve depth, dark tones and fun core gameplay on low processing power. By rendering out the game with PlayStation 2 level graphics, this game will be able to run on cheap PC setups making it an equitable choice for gamers.
This game development is going to take a LONG time. I'll keep updates to what I'm learning with unreal engine and changing aesthetic choices on this tab.
